This is the first part of a series of helpful ear stretching tips. The technique featured is called the taping technique.

In short you will be taking a piece of jewelry and wrapping it to increase its size.

You learn that it’s best never to use electrical tape or masking tape.

Electrical tape is adhesive based as well as porous. Because it stretches, your skin could adhere to it.

Masking tape has a tendency to become moldy when wet.

You should use bondage tape for this process because it is not adhesive.

As you watch the video you will see step by step how the to do the technique safely and easily.

Because ear stretching is growing in popularity, it’s a good idea to learn as much as possible about the process.

The most commonly used method is to use tapers, which vary in sizes.

To start the process you will need the taper of your choice and any brand of water-based lubricant.

A water-based lubricant is better for your earlobes than Vaseline or lotion because it evaporates quickly and provides no risk of infection for your ears.

This video is filled with special tips on ear stretching, so watch it carefully to learn more about how to stretch your ears safely.

Here’s some interesting information about inner conch stretching from KingsBodyJewelry.com.

Finally get all of your questions answered and learn where to begin.

Plus you’ll discover that there are primarily two methods used in gauge piercings.

The first method is called the Taper Method.

You simply use tapers to slide through your ear lobe.

The process is easy, carries little risk, but takes a long time to get the desired result.

The second method is the Dermal Punch Method.

It’s a great alternative for people who would like large gauge piercings in the conch or outer conch.

However there is severe risk of bleeding with any dermal punch so do your research to make sure it is safe for you.

Have you been thinking about stretching your ear lobes?

In this video you’ll see that it can be done safely and nearly painlessly.

These are simple, basic tips, but it’s important to get advice form your local piercing expert on specific requirements.
Your ears must have already been pierced and have healed before you start the process.

This will help to eliminate most of the pain. The normal piercing hole is 1.6mm wide which can vary from one person to the next.

Before you buy your first ear stretcher, find out how wide your current hole is.

The process takes time but in the end you will enjoy wearing beautiful, varied jewelry.

Take a look at the video to see how it can be easily done.

One of the major “don’ts” is the use of the use of silicone for stretching.

Silicone is very porous and your ears can adhere to them. It is a very abrupt form of stretching and only expands as opposed to stretching.

In terms of after care, one of the do’s is using Vitamin E oil or jojoba oil. You use a generous amount to clean your ears and keep them moist to aid in the healing process.

There is much more to learn so watch the video to find out all the recommended do’s and don’ts and demonstrations of proper after care.

In the third installment of this ear stretching method you learn about using weights. The method of using weights is highly controversial.

What happens during the process is that large, heavy jewelry or another weighed object is used to stretch the piercing.

This method is not one that is recommended and not widely used because it often leads to a thinning of tissue, causing disfigurement and may require reconstructive surgery.

In the discussion you also find out that you should only use weights from highly reputable places to avoid injury and never leave them in for more than 20 minutes a day.

Listen up to learn more about the proper use of the weight method.
